Questions about your request, your data or a lender in our network? Our team answers by email, phone and mail on business days.

We are glad to help with questions about our request form, how matching works, your privacy choices or anything on our site. Many people reach out after searching for earnest personal loans and want to confirm who we are before they submit a request, and that is a good instinct. Below you will find every way to reach us, what we can help with and where to turn for issues that belong with a lender.

01

How to reach us

You can contact our team by email at [email protected], by phone at (888) 856-1106, or by mail, Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm Central time.

What we can help with

Our team can answer questions about the request form, how your information is shared, how matching works, privacy and marketing preferences, and general questions about comparing offers.

Common reasons people contact us:

  • Checking whether a request went through or correcting a detail you entered.
  • Asking which types of lenders participate in our network.
  • Opting out of marketing emails, texts or calls, or making a privacy request.
  • Reporting a website problem or a message that claims to come from us but looks suspicious.
  • Sharing feedback on a guide or suggesting a topic.

Many general questions are already answered on our frequently asked questions page, including how long a request takes and how soft and hard credit inquiries differ.

03

What we cannot help with

We cannot change a lender's decision, rate or terms, and we cannot see or manage your loan account, because every offer and loan is made and serviced by the lender, not by us.

For questions about an offer you received, a loan you accepted, your balance, payment dates, autopay, a payoff amount or a hardship plan, contact the lender directly using the details in your loan agreement or on the lender's website. People looking for earnest personal loans sometimes reach us expecting to speak with a specific lender named Earnest; we are not affiliated with any lender or company by that name and cannot access its accounts.

04

Complaints and how to escalate

If you have a complaint about our service, write to us first so we can investigate; complaints about a lender should go to that lender, and you may also contact the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

When you send a complaint, describe what happened, when it happened and what outcome you are asking for. We review every complaint, respond in writing and, where it concerns a lender in our network, share it with that lender and follow up on its response.

You also have the right to submit a complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), the federal agency that oversees consumer financial products, or to your state attorney general or state financial regulator. Those agencies can contact the company on your behalf and track patterns across many consumers.

05

Privacy requests and disclosures

To access, correct or delete your information, or to opt out of marketing or certain sharing, email or write to us and describe the request; we will verify your identity and respond within the time the law requires.

Details about what we collect, who receives it and the choices you have are in our privacy policy. For an explanation of how we are paid by lenders and partners and how that can affect what you see, read our advertiser disclosure. Anyone comparing earnest personal loans through our network deserves straight answers, and we would rather hear a hard question than have you guess.
